Happy Twelfth Day of Christmas. This season’s final recipient is NARAL Pro-Choice America.

NARAL is the oldest abortion rights advocacy group in the United States. They’ve been working to protect and expand women’s reproductive freedom since 1969, when Roe v. Wade was still four years off. They provide direct legislative support for lawmakers working to ensure those rights, organize public action against those to are trying to curtail them, and are an excellent source of public education on the topic. They’ve been actively working on improving contraception access as part of our health care reform, and they’re one of the sponsors of the Women’s March on Washington coming up in a few weeks.

You can, of course, always donate to NARAL, but if, like me, the right wing’s drive to curtail our freedoms and their profound smugness in doing so make you feel a bit snarky, you might enjoy their current campaign to raise money in Mike Pence’s name. NARAL has always been doing good work, and they’re now on the front lines of perhaps the biggest fight we’re likely to see with the incoming administration.
