Happy Seventh Day of Christmas. Today’s recipient is the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The ASPCA is the first humane society in North America, and is now one of the largest in the world. They do direct adoption/placement services, fund spay/neuter services, run rescue operations, provide millions in support for local animal welfare organizations, and work on legislation to provide a legal framework for protecting animals from all sorts of abuse.

Today’s gift is given in honor of my wonderful goddaughter, who, among her many other excellent traits, loves her animals like you wouldn’t believe.
